Urban Traffic or How To Explain Agile To Your Manager (or Grandma)

18Aug09

Coming back from a customer site and trying to find a compelling visual illustration of Agility (helpful in order to explain what I do to managers, children, and my mother-in-law), I got stuck in a traffic jam… one of these “Eureka!” moments, as I jotted some thoughts down on a makeshift notepad on the passenger seat.
Out of this came this presentation I’ve held at two conferences (XP Day France in Paris, Agile-from Hype to Practice in Zurich) which sums up some of my thoughts about this analogy.

I’ve been asked to publish my presentation I’ve recently given on Urban Traffic, so here it goes (in German and French, pick your favorite):

  1. Hi Francois, and thanks for your comment on my blog. I’d love to read/view your presentation but am language-challenged. Consider submitting to the next Scrum Gathering (March 2010 in Florida) — that’ll prompt an English translation. — Tobias
